"Screensaver"[]

I found something quite funny on the Pip-Boy in FO2. I opened the alarm clock screen (I don't know if it works on any other ones) and just left it like that, not moving the mouse or clicking anything. (I was explaining some game mechanics to a friend) After a while, I looked at the screen again and instead of the resting options, the screen was full of little green bombs! They were falling from the top-right corner into the bottom-left one. I guess it's some kind of "screensaver"? I'll try to get some pictures. Yukabacera 16:34, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

You're not the only one. I got it too, but not on the Alarm screen. Looks like idling for more than two minutes brings it up.
I have found it on Fallout 1 without noticing it at first! I have seen it in fallout:BOS to! It's a really nice detail!^^ Terrorblades Thinks ENCLAVE WILL RETURN! 16:07, January 29, 2011 (UTC)

Independence day[]

When I opened my PIPboy on the fourth of Juli, it said "Happy Independence Day!" Anyone found more messages like this? PSDaniel 20:33, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, it's one of those nifty little details that developers put in their games back in the olden days. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 22:03, May 31, 2010 (UTC)

Why is there a picture from a mod here?

Commercial[]

Pipboy 2000 up for commercial sales really makes it more and more likely that a wastelander to have one! Unless there is something special with the once that are given from vaults and/or other places with the expertise. Any one else have any ideas about this? Talking Pip-Boy[]

So I installed the old OS 9 version of Fallout 1 for the first time (got free mac from church, long story) and opened the pip boy screen when I heard it say "hello and welcome to the RobCo Pip-Boy 2000!" I was taken by surprise but decided to click around, and yeah, it talks (mainly just sounding out the option you clicked on). So I was thinking, is this info worthy of a note or trivia addition to the article? (75.140.31.14 21:18, July 19, 2016 (UTC))
