Perk Rate?[]

This seems to be incorrectly named. A rate is normally the number of occurances over a defined period of time. If you get 1 perk every 2 levels, that should be a "perk rate" of 0.5. The correct term should be "perk period". The period is the amount of time for a defined number of occurances. If you get 1 perk every 2 levels, that would be a "perk period" of 2 (which is what this article is saying is the "rate" for that situation).

Anyway, not clear where the terminology is coming from exactly, and not that it matters much, but this is not technically a "rate". 208.92.228.62 19:32, November 18, 2010 (UTC)

Rename[]

The article is named “Perk Rate,” yet it is not capitalized in the article itself.

Unless “perk rate” is a trademarked concept by Bethesda Softworks or Obsidian Entertainment, which I doubt it is, it’s not a proper noun, so it shouldn’t be capitalized. Only an administrator (or content moderator) can move this, since perk rate (which redirects to Perk Rate) already exists.

Could someone please move this page or explain why it shouldn’t be?PapiDimmi (talk) 22:35, January 27, 2017 (UTC)

Fallout 1 and 2 perk window[]

I am pretty sure that in Fallout 2, you can skip the perk window and after leveling up several times, the perk window will not be overridden. So in F2, if you skip all perks until level 9 and at level 9 pick a perk, once you reopen character, you see perk choice window again two times.

But in F1 perks are indeed overridden. Not picking perks until level 9, essentially destroys 2 perks.
