Any idea if I can get the VR access codes, or are the pods juts for decor?

<<<<<TRY THIS>>>>>>> By: Liam Malone playing xbox 360 I found Loyal after completing the last Boomers quest on scaffolding in the hanger working on the plane, the only way to talk to him is to jump in range of him in 1st person and then try to initiate conversation. Even though he only says thanks or somesuch, it triggers Raul to talk to you! give it a try, it worked for me after searching forever!!! --unsigned

Just confirming this- it worked for me. If you go round to one side of the bomber you can jump from some metal boxes onto the scaffolding, Loyal was round the other side and I spoke to him triggering Rauls quest. --unsigned

Can't find Loyal to start Old School Ghoul[]

I've done all the Boomer quests, and freed Raul from Black Mountain. I went to find Loyal to start Raul's quest, but Loyal is nowhere to be found. He's never in the hangar, or his house, and I've even looked for him at Black Mountain since his article states that there is a bug that places him there after freeing Raul. At Black Mountain I did find the three children that wander around Nellis AFB known as "Mini Boomers" that you can do tasks for to gain Boomer reputation, but no Loyal. Has anyone ever had this problem? Orra 07:20, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

I have this problem now. I thought Loyal was still in the hangar with the Bomber, but when I went there with Raul he wasn't. I'm gonna check Black Mountain and Black Rock Cave now.--86.44.140.20 18:19, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

As soon as i finished dealing with Tabitha on Black Mountain, Loyal appeared outside the door there. I picked up Raul, and then found Loyal walking down the path to shack. Raul managed to recieve his trigger. Loyal kept on walking into Deathclaw territory (the hills east of the railway just north of niels shack), getting his ass kicked and dying. So, he might be dead without you knowing. When he dies, i got a flash on the screen saying "Loyal has died." <OK>, but maybe that only shows up when he dies in close range of you. December 13 2010 --edit: i decided to follow him, he walks back to nellis hangars. Dangers en route are the deathclaws north of black mountain and possibly the giant radscorps on the east side of vegas.

Ugh I did every companion quest except Raul's because loyal is gone from my game. I checked everyfreaking-where for 3 hours. Then I raged and killed a bunch of boomers hoping to draw him out, oh well. of course it didn't work. but dam it I was so close to having all companion quests done. I'm going for the hardcore achievement so I don't think I can use console to spawn him by me. Why is this game so buggy, doesn't anyone test it before release? I need a job, hire me and I can show you all the bugs bethesda. This isn't the only buggy game you have made, but if you hire me and fix it I will forgive you. 76.198.70.129 10:31, July 2, 2011 (UTC)

Any fix in sight[]

Is Bethesda planning on fixing Loyal's disappearance at all? 76.125.119.105 10:23, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

This may help some of you find him. Type "player.moveto 000ff26a" obviously without the quotes. It seems that they have 2 different hangars, once you complete the mission where you surface the plane and they have started to work on it, the game has a second hangar where the "new" plane is. The old one is replaced but that was where my Loyal was when I teleported to him. When I teleported I was in the "old" hangar with the broken down plane, I followed Loyal out the door and we ended up at Nellis AFB but he went right back inside the hangar. I decided to follow and when it was done loading the "new" hangar was where I ended up with the plane with a fence around it and boomers working on it. So it seems that the game does not like to move Loyal over to the "new" hangar.

Thanks for posting that, it worked the first time for me. I was in the "new" hanger, the one with raised bomber, and I did that command, and I appeared in the old hanger with Loyal right in front of me. He only had the dialogue thanking me for raising the bomber but it still triggered Raul's quest when I went outside. In my game anyways, Loyal, Jack, and Jack's girlfriend just don't exist in the worldspace of that new hanger. I even tried jumping up on the scaffolding but he wasent there. Pretty big bug if you ask me.67.186.154.210 16:05, August 9, 2012 (UTC)

5th Playthrough, 1rst Loyal Glitch[]

So am at the end of Volare!. I went to Lake Mead, did the whole, make the plane float up and.. to my bewilderment, the quest marker updated, pointing me to go towards Black Mountain! Well, then i read here that this happens.. so i go to the marker.. turns out, as i am typing this, Loyal is stuck IN a tree.. like him and the tree are one.. reminding me of one my favorite Fallout characters! --DrunkenSushi 03:38, October 2, 2011 (UTC)

Just ran into him in Scorpion Gulch, he was talking about the bomber being a beauty (raised the plane frome the lake)

The Long Journey Home[]

I took a hit for the team and walked the old man home from Black Mountain. After he is home, he will wander eternally in the hanger, and if you need him for anything else, he will be there indefinitely. Here is the general route that he took, and what I had to deal with, in case you're feeling charitable/bored.

First, let me note that some significant time had passed... probably a total of 5 real play hours, between my finishing the Black Mountain quest and returning to Raul to find Loyal. Sure enough, just as we arrived, Loyal walked out of the building... so maybe I fast traveled out too quickly after the quest, and the glitch only shows after you've spent some time at Black Mountain with Tabitha dead/gone(?) I also had all Boomers' quests completed, to note. And well, playing on XBox360.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING "WAIT" TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS. I'll note the combat sections below, as there are some places where you probably can, but -always save before you do-.

Loyal zig-zagged down the main road to the bottom of Black Mountain. Neil was still at his post hanging out, Loyal walked on by past the irradiated crater and kept on moving.

First enemy encounter----------------------------------- Near the bottom of Black Mountain, there were three Super Mutant Masters that were all marked friendly. They didn't speak to me, and I ran by to keep scouting for threats ahead of Loyal down the way. I turned, and Loyal was past the mutants, but a Deathclaw had magic-spawned on top of the mutants. Deathclaw killed two mutants, I used Implant GRX to sprint past Loyal and fire AP rounds at point blank with the Gobi rifle to kill it. Naturally, Loyal thanked the remaining mutant afterward "for being such a great help".

Loyal got stuck on/inside multiple rocks near the bottom, but eventually freed himself.

Shortly afterward, you pass a overturned semi with a pool on the right (facing towards New Vegas). This section can be trouble...

Second enemy encounter---------------------------------- This is the tough section if you're lower level. I killed one Deathclaw directly on the road north, two from the north east, and three from the north west (again, using Implant GRX and the Gobi rifle). Loyal would draw his knife and charge forward like the ignorant old man he is, and did get hit once before I burned the rest of my Implant to make sure I was always two steps ahead. I don't think Loyal would survive two attacks under any circumstances, unless perhaps he'd taken a stray shot or two from the Super Mutant Minigun that I didn't see.

Third enemy encounter----------------------------------- Loyal continued, and left the road shortly after the last skirmish, heading (thankfully) more directly back to Nellis (NE). Near the bottom of the hill along the cliffside, one more Deathclaw popped out from a narrow nook. He killed Loyal, but I had recently saved and took him out without much trouble.

Fourth enemy encounter---------------------------------- Passing by the anthill in the middle of the field, some wandering ants (rather weak) attacked and set Loyal on fire. Chopped them up and our journey continued...

You can likely fast travel an hour at this point. This is when I smoked a cigarette and poured a whiskey and watched him walk very slowly past Freeside and such. He did stop to say hello to two NCR troopers, and a Merc who'd apparently lost his caravan.

Fifth enemy encounter----------------------------------- I had not discovered Durable Dunn's Sacked Caravan prior, so while I was looting corpses, I heard Loyal draw his knife offscreen and quickly used my then-replenished GRX in order to narrowly prevent two Golden Geckos from ripping Loyal apart (they came from the East).

Loyal continued past the Chem Addicts, and up the rail tracks, and eventually into Nellis. You more or less are safe "Wait"ing by the time he reaches the addicts. Loyal will end up in the bomber hanger, and because he can't get onto the platform surrounding the plane, he wander aimlessly even if you kick barrels at him.

Loyal Missing after Volare![]

I put off doing sunshine boogie for a while and decided to go back to it after repairing the solar panels the quest says to return to Loyal and it points to an empty spot in his office in the hanger, Jack and Janet have both disappeared as well. I completed Volare! about twenty hours back is there anyway to find him?--CasterOfShadows (talk) 02:35, September 26, 2012 (UTC)
