This quest cannot be completed--because of gas leak in kitchen?[]

Okay, so I had a peaceful resolution with Dog/God in the kitchen; talking to him with my speech of 90+. I don't recall if it was after or before I had repaired the third gas pipe leak; I assume after. The problem now is that when I go to the Suites to find the mute, I cannot complete this quest. Because when I try to use the key card to go through the maintenance door (or whatever door leads back to the part of the suites where the mute is), I get a message that says that I cannot open this sealed door because of a gas pipe leak in the kitchen. Well, that's great! Because I cannot use the regular elevator to go back down to the lobby (and then the kitchen) because this elevator says locked (needs key). So What now? I reloaded from before I went up to the suites and rechecked to make sure all three valves in the kitchen were turned off -- which they were; and God/Dog was kinda pacing the floor. So whatever. I also completed the Dean scenario without having to kill him. But I cannot complete Last Luxuries. It appears unsolvable. Which is absolutely frustrating. Anyone else this problem or a possible solution? --Sp3lly 20:18, February 12, 2011 (UTC)

I ran into the same problem. I reloaded with my autosave from entering the executive suites, the problem went away. Don't really have any other advice.

Theres a pipe near the door, behind the counter.

Same exact problem. Does Obsidian even playtest this? Is the game broken now? I don't have any saves to load from. What do you mean there's a pipe behind the counter? WHERE?

There is a room full of gas, with a radio, and there's a valve where you can turn the gas off, just before you get to Christine, as you are exploring the suites. --ZappaFan 02:36, March 23, 2011 (UTC)

The metal door in the Suites that won't open because of a gas leak is DIFFERENT from the identical metal door that wouldn't open because of a gas leak that led to the kitchen with Dog/God. At the center of the Suites is a workshop that is flooded with gas and locked down just like the kitchen was. You can access it by going around the Suites and disabling the gas so unlocking this door is the last thing you'll do to get back to the entrance of the Suites from where Christine waits for you. Hope this alleviates some of the confusion. DemonDoll 15:28, June 29, 2011 (UTC)

I Have yet to locate "The Gas" your Referencing to

For anyone interested, here is a screenshot of where the gas leak is (where I'm standing): http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/90472828873970356/A48CFD0DA50FC25CB4C81CFBEA5863968954DBCD/ Boomboomboom (talk) 08:51, February 13, 2017 (UTC)

Closing with Christine (Dead Money)[]

(Spoilers)

So the wiki says as long as I refer to her final plan of fighting me as something the old man would do, I could be passive and she would eventually stop fighting me. Any truth to that? I didnt exactly have enough for my science or explosives check.

-OD

i had the explosives check, not the speech or science though, but i could only imply id kill her and not that it sounds like something Elijah would do, and i cant bet her to run after me, i dont really want to kill her what should i do?

  • sorry meant get*

Unlimited grenades bug. Confirmation please.[]

Added to the Bugs section. Found this on Xbox but needs confirmation on other platforms please. It's a bit of a pain to test due to the gap between the two quests (and you have to choose the bad karma option with Christine, which may not suit you). Anyway, if it is a common bug it's good for Explosives players - I collected 2000 grenades before I got tired of button-mashing. --FourWayDiablo 14:33, June 21, 2011 (UTC)

Confirmed on PC with latest patch. Disarmed a dozen times and got grenades for it. The trap behaved properly when I shot it to set it off. DemonDoll 15:22, June 29, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. I blundered through the first time, heard the tripwire snap and then... nothing. Found the grenades, reloaded save and disarmed the trap, grenades still "frozen". Also I have yet to throw a single one of those 2000 grenades, but I guess a test is a test. :-) --FourWayDiablo 20:44, June 29, 2011 (UTC)

Vera Keye's Voice

Does anyone know what it is that the hologram is saying? It is very difficult to hear with Elijah and Christine talking over it. Really just a curiosity on my part, except that it sounds really distressed which seems like an odd thing for a programmed hologram to be saying. Also, it only gets said the one time and the holograms never speak again, which is also odd. Thanks for the help if you can answer this.

Umm....first time posting so sorry if this is not the appropriate place or way of doing this.
