How do I get Astor to offer info about the Ranger station so I can tell Edwards about it? Is there a console command for it? I see in GECK that it's labeled VM43CampSearchlightTopic114 but it never shows up when talking to him, and I can only tell Edwards the lie or to head out to the wastes. - It's a bug. You must not take the dog tag from Edward before you speak with Astor about him. Blupeli 22:08, November 24, 2010 (UTC)
Answer:Courier have to tell Astor that Edwards live and can they let him back to NCR.

In console type(without quotes) "addtopic vms43campsearchlightastortopic114". Talk to Astor and ask about Edwards again, the line "Is there anywhere else he can go?" will appear as a new dialouge option.
Pvt Edwards location?[]
I told Private Edwards to go to Ranger Station Echo which he did. Now I have no idea where he is. I've searched the area around the station with no avail. I've also gone to the Mesquite Mountains Campsite as well. Any ideas? I play on Xbox. --207.225.245.90 17:19, November 11, 2010 (UTC)
- I told him to go to that First Sergeant guy and he went right there. Doesn't seem like he's important after that. --Kris
17:41, November 11, 2010 (UTC) - I did this quest somewhere at the beginning of the game, but somehow when i was somewhere near the end of the game I met him on his way to camp echo, fighting some NCR Ghouls on the road. Even stranger is that when I went to the sniper's nest after that (to get that sweet unique sniper rifle <3), when I was looking around I suddenly noticed him standing behind me (nearly blasted his head off too, the creepy fucker) he then ran off towards camp echo again. So somehow he followed me there without initiating dialogue when het found me. Maybe the route he is supposed to take to camp echo is a little messed up?
