Tranquility Lane[]

This looks a lot like Tranquility Lane and the tranquility pods were originally created for military training purposes. Could Big Mt. be where Braun got them from and this is where he got the idea of Tranquility Lane from? Ganondorf 04:27, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

This was actually my first thought when I entered the village. It's possible, however, I think it's unlikely. -Alister Poe 15:29, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

While I thought the same thing and like this idea, the reason for the similarity is because they are modelled after the typical 1950's American neighborhood. --Valoopy sig Valoopy 15:31, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

In the 1950's, prefabricated housing was common, and it wouldn't surprise me to see such a trend live on in the Fallout universe. Since Tranquility Lane was designed to be a familiar environment for Americans, I think it is safe to say that the neighborhoods seen there and in the Big Mountain Facility were common in pre-War America. Cornelius Plautus 01:33, July 24, 2011 (UTC)

Hell, you still see it today tbh. These housing complexes in suburbia or otherwise, you'll find many of the houses look almost identical. Guess it is/was a way of saving money. Another interesting note, singlewide/doublewide trailers are made similarly. You'll go into one trailer and go into a different one later, and the layout is exactly the same. 67.142.173.20 08:58, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

Coding instead of OCD?[]

Has anyone else notice that in the house #108, all the specific objects are in a group of 8? What I'm trying to say that it is maybe referring to the fact that there are 8 bits in a single byte. Firstly, we have 8 cups, of which the 8th is overturned. Then, right below them, are 8 spoons, the 5th is turned in 45 degrees. Then there are 8 plates & forks, but the 6th plate is missing. Plus, the number of the house ends in 8. If this were really a sign of OCD, objects wouldn't be randomly out-of-order like that. I'm not a rocket scientist, that's why I'm asking you guys -- do you think this has a higher significance? 83.166.210.226 17:57, August 30, 2011 (UTC) Debbycus

If you hadn't noticed, Big MT was hit directly by an nuclear warhead. I'm surprised there's anything left at all. The impact likely stirred some objects around, making them nonuniform. --Kastera (talk) 21:27, August 30, 2011 (UTC)

it wasnt hit by a nuke it was an explosion from one of the test facilities which(i think) happened some time before the war CountryStrong106 (talk) 06:25, August 13, 2012 (UTC)

If you hadn't noticed. 2.99.29.159 10:17, August 13, 2012 (UTC)

In house #103[]

The piece of paper with "dad" and the knife on it is a picture of a red fire-breathing dragon. also, i can make out another "dad" on the same paper with the word "Monster". anyone else see this?--98.210.150.100 21:03, October 18, 2011 (UTC)

Are we sure there's a knife in this picture? Playing on PS3 I can't locate one anywhere nor has if fallen through to downstairs. I can read "dad" but if there is anything else written on this it's sure a blurry mess on console. 99.253.64.188 13:22, July 9, 2016 (UTC)
Addendum: After placing C-4 near the head of the bed and setting it off I did 'shake loose' the missing knife. 99.253.64.188 13:24, July 9, 2016 (UTC)

House 103 edit[]

I removed the "storage container containing a scientists glove in sitting room" because I left that house having checked everything, without a scientists glove. It's safe to say that the loot is random.

Player Housing[]

Would one of the houses here in Higgs Village be any good for Player Housing? I like my house to have the 1950's look and these feel perfect for my new campaign. Someone please let me know if it would be safe for player housing. "'The One, The Only, The Gunslinger!" Monster of the East, huh? Well, I've got the Monster of the West in my holster right now. 00:57, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

to answer that simply,no. Areas like presidential suites that are gifted to you,i.e. the lucky 38, are afe for player housing, if t doesn't direct'y tell you so, don't risk it, any items you store will be lost, so research the list of player homes vigilantly, or alternatively, drop your items on the floor of a severely isolated place without any NPC's that can talk. Also, this isn't an open forum, it's a wikia, an information super highway, don't be surprised if non-canonical information gets deleted. That includes your question, which is more suitable to post on an open forum, not a wikia. 99.20.240.29 07:18, November 11, 2015 (UTC) Editor email: SueSakamotoTakari@gmail.com < Got more questions? Discovered a glitch with higs village! Revived Securitrons.[]

The securitrons in higs village somehow revived for me, their RAW data on debugging read they had a DT and DR oof 0, and HP of 0, to test if this was true, I created a save and used a weapon that does 0 dammage on the securitrons of higgs village, the laser detonator, it managed to kill the securitron without dealing any damage. It's speech is distotedly saying "Have a nice day" upon seeing the player, and it had no facial emoticon, just black static. What is odd about these securitrons is they don't turn hostile if you kill one, and even the lser detonator can kill them unless you directly modify the securitrons health. I couldn't get any screenshots, but I will try to supply links from a friends account of this.. "anomaly"

Glitch: possible to reproduce perhaps entirely from serverside lag getting to a point it causes glitches with actors when loading areas, if this is how the glitch is replicated, I currently do not know.

Clock in 108[]

The ticking appears to come from the top right (from entrance) lit-up clock. This is verifiable by facing the backside of this wall upstairs and listening for the highest volume point. This would make the sound not from a pendulum clock but instead merely the ticking of the second hand sweep. Clock is the same model "Always time for refreshing Nuka" neon sign first seen in the prospector saloon over the pool table (which does not have the sound.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.253.64.188 (talkcontribs) 16:33, 9 July 2016.
