Probably the ultimate perk for Snipers, rocketeers, and people who love the Fat-man. It's a useful perk, too bad it shows up so late.-accountless avenger.

Ty for the redirect, whoever made it... I totally thought it was Spirit the first few times I saw it lol. ~~     Frvwfr2     talk    contribs   16:34, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

With wired reflexes, commando, gunslinger, sniper, concentrated fire and action boy/mask/ranger armor for 140 base ap this perk will turn you into an unstoppable death machine. At the final battle outside the memorial I ran up the ramp and slaughtered every single Enclave soldier there with my Xuanlong before the rest of the Brothers could get off more than one or two shots.

The tactic is so cheap that it would be game breaking if it came before level 20. I'm honestly gonna have to stop myself from abusing it when the expansion that raises the level cap comes out.

  • Why did you even take it then? I abuse the hell out of it during my journeys to collect skill books and find all the map points. When Broken Steel is released I will descend upon the Enclave like Death itself. SpellChecker 22:03, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

WHoever wrote the bit about having all the perks to get tons of AP,I recommened taking ultrajet and nuka cola quantum to boost that, cause with that mixture, and a ton of ammo, you make rambo look like a tweenie

Why stop there? You can stack jet, ultrajet, nuka cola, nukalurk meat, psycho, and yao guai meat for the ultimate beatdown combo. Then bust out Vengeance and start queuing up head shots in VATS.76.123.119.26 16:05, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Christ almighty. With that many AP, you could probably kill a Behemoth with a 10mm in one VATS sequence. --PwnzerfaustMonk 10:54, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

I actually made a chart of all the +AP food/chems in the game, its on the Action Points page. Ash Nuke AshRandom (Talk) 17:52, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

reply to the very very rare bug thing[]

"Sometimes, though a very, very, rare glitch, when you kill 2 people in VATS, upon exiting and re-entering vats with another NPC you will notice your AP doubled. This has only been reported once in an instance when two raiders were killed. "

This happened to me too, I think. I killed 2 super mutants with a fat man, at the same time with the same bullet. my total action points doubled, so now I can hit somebody like 10 times with a gun. Hope that helps  :)

I wonder how this glitch would affect a player with the maximum AP of 268 with perks, agility, chems, and armor. Would it raise AP to 536 and go back down 120 (to 416) after the chems wear off? That seems like quite a lot of AP! That's roughly 17 grenades thrown in a VATS sequence. --AwNNeR 5 09:20, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Odd Glitch[]

The perk temporarily stopped working for me.

First of all, I'm not sure how it happened because there are a bunch of things that might have done it. I was starting Take it Back while downloading Broken Steel. Just as I had exited the Citadel, the game froze. When I reloaded the autosave, the perk wasn't working, and continued to not until the end of the quest. I'd also like to mention that I had to the final battle, etc twice because the first time it ended the game like I didn't have the DLC. The second time around, it still didn't work. I played for a little while after waking up at the citadel, then saved and quit. The next time I played, the perk worked again.

I'm not sure when exactly it started working again. I guess it was either finishing the game and starting Broken Steel, or quitting and reloading the game afterwards.

Update: Since that first time, it's stopped working and randomly come back multiple times. I'll try to see if there's some kind of pattern

New Vegas, 20AP per kill, or per VATS round?[]

In New Vegas, do you get 20 AP per kill in VATS, or 20 AP per VATS round? For example, if I were to queue up 3 attacks in VATS on 3 different targets, and I kill all 3, would I get 60 AP back, or just 20?

84.246.5.26 12:02, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

Tested it yesterday, I queued up 4 shots with the sniper rifle in one VATS round, leaving me with ~11AP. I got 4 kills, but was left with only ~35AP. So it appears that you only get 20AP per VATS round, not per kill. I'm really starting to doubt the usefulness of this perk. 84.246.5.26 09:50, November 16, 2010 (UTC)
This was THE best perk in FO3, now totally nerfed in New Vegas. CarlCorey 07:00, November 23, 2010 (UTC)

It was pretty sweet in Fallout 3. They probably just noticed how awesome it was and had to dial it down a smidge in New Vegas. I mean, I literally just mowed down every single hostile thing I saw, one by one. I was almost quite literally unstoppable. So in New Vegas, which seems like a harder version of Fallout 3 (obviously with a different storyline), they had to make it a bit harder so it could fit the game style. 71.97.45.222 22:30, December 31, 2013 (UTC)

In FO3 it was overpowered.

Well, yes it was, but it's kinda dumb that if you queue up attacks against four different targets you still only get 20 AP back, but if you queue up a single attack, execute it, and repeat that 4 times you get 80 AP back. 20 AP per kill is more than enough, hell I could live with even less, as long as it's per kill and not per round. 84.246.5.26 10:52, November 26, 2010 (UTC)
^^^ Good call on single targeting, though for me it seems the only choice being melee, maybe thats what they are trying to do with it?

"Overpowered" is an understatement. Full AP refill after killing an enemy + taking 10% of damage while in VATS = Godmode.--201.35.133.151 10:04, November 27, 2010 (UTC)

The Name[]

You know, something that's always bugged me about this Perk is its name. Since it lets you keep going and going, shouldn't be more like "Grim Reaper's Marathon?"

I imagine that the word 'Sprint' is used because with the perk you have more incentive to kill more NPCs, thus the Grim Reaper would have to work quickly from one dead guy to another, hence the sprinting. --Trizzip 02:21, December 8, 2010 (UTC)

fixed the math, 4 x .66~ = 2.66~ so you would get 4 per the normal 2.66 or 3 per the normal 2 ( 3 x .66~ = 2)
