Gambling[]

1) "Gambling exploit" - it is not. Gambling skill is not an exploit. Having a "cool down" is very questionable. Skill requires pretty high investment in order to become efficient and is a good alternative towards hunting prey, plundering it, carrying to merchant (carry weight) and selling stuff off.

2) "Gambling is cheat" - it is not. It requires a very substantial investment of skill points and strategy. Even with 120% gambling, player will unlikely invest any points in barter skill. As such, although he might earn quite big sums of money, he will also have to pay very high barter rates.

3) "At 80% is already sufficient". I've been re-playing Fallout 2 over 10 times with this build. At initial 8 LK, gambling becomes profitable only over 100%. At 80% only $5 stake gives some turn-around, yet slow. The $100 stake requires 130%+.

Sorry, but Gambling is a cheat. It makes no sense that the mechanic of holding down two keys should give you infinite money. No human DM would let a casino proprietor just stand there as you take them for millions. RPGs are about progression in capability, but with a trivial investment in Gambling as a Tagged skill you no longer need to struggle to progress in equipment since you can just buy everything. I did a playthrough of FO1 with Gambling and it was a sad experience. There's no excitement about watching a better weapon or piece of armor drop since you can skip all that and buy the best of everything. Everything that drops is just garbage in comparison. Walking out of the Vault with nothing but a pistol and 3 levels later being the richest and best geared man in the Wasteland skips actually playing the game. The investment isn't high enough for it to be a chosen specialty -- "Oh I knowingly sacrificed my combat skills to purchase gear my companions" -- unless you're playing a gutter INT character without Gambling tagged. With reasonable INT and tagging it's just an infinite money cheat.
