As of patch 1.01, this perk does not seem to work. Conversely, the Regular Maintenance perk works fine. --Desert Ranger 09:32, November 3, 2010 (UTC)

Does the perk work with the newer patches? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else on the site that the perk doesn't work. Schneidend 04:08, November 21, 2010 (UTC)

I just looked it up in the GECK. Full Maintenance is an empty perk, it doesn't do anything. Regular Maintenance should work, as Desert Ranger said. --DanTheHitman 07:08, November 23, 2010 (UTC)

Unfortunately full maintenance does not do anything more than regular maintenance. You can test it yourself by keeping a gun and save before/after finishing the quest. Count how many shots it takes for the condition to move down each sliver. You'll notice it's exactly the same whether you have regular or full maintenance. Since Raul's other perk Old Vaquero ALSO doesn't do anything at all for his default .44 revolver, it makes him a very bad bugged companion. Even worse, since no one notices it, there are no mods available. Annoying to the point of making you want to quit the game. Monsieurpooh (talk) 07:56, November 10, 2015 (UTC)monsieurpooh

game ending[]

does using console command to add this perk mess with the game ending or his outfit? or prevent his quest starting or something?

Full Maintenance Perk Exploit/Glitch[]

You can keep the Full Maintenance Perk even if Raul is no longer your companion.

This requires patch 1.2 or later the Dead Money DLC and the completion of the "Old School Ghoul" companion quest to get the Full Maintenance Perk Reward.

Make sure you complete Raul's companion quest to get the Full Maintenance Perk Reward, then load the Dead Money DLC if you haven't already.

With Raul as your companion, enter the Sierra Madre. The game will drop Raul as your companion but will leave the perk in your list, which should remain permanent.

From what I have gathered this glitch is caused by the game removing Raul's original perk Regular Maintenance instead of removing this improved perk.

This just happened for me when dismissing him with the companion dismissal terminal. However, he seems to be gone from the game now as he is not at his shack, and I haven't gotten the Lucky 38 suite yet. Can someone on PC test this and find out where he goes? --188.141.67.213 14:42, April 14, 2015 (UTC)

Ok I was wrong, he eventually showed up at his shack a few days later, but it was still strange as companions are supposed to instantly appear at their regular posts. So in summary, you can just use the companion dismissal terminal instead of starting Dead Money. --188.141.67.213 14:49, April 14, 2015 (UTC)
