Quest Trigger[]

I've been following the Railroad route, and have eliminated the Brotherhood, but I can't seem to get this mission to trigger with the Minutemen. My goal was to complete as many main quests as possible prior to completing The Nuclear Option (Minutemen).

I question the total of eight settlements to skip this quest. Maybe it changed after some of the early patches. Currently, I have 21 settlements. I just finished getting the Beryllium agitator for the Brotherhood, and completed Banished from the Institute. After talking with Preston Garvey, I got Form Ranks and Inside Job from Preston. I continued talking with him to see if he would eventually autocomplete Form Ranks after noting I had enough settlements, but instead he rattled off about six different miscellaneous quests for settlements all at once. These are the same quests that, before the last patch, I would get ad nauseum from him all the time, but since the patch have been rare. Some of the quests are to gain new settlements. I'm going to complete them and see if that completes the Form Ranks quest.--DocSilence (talk) 16:43, February 28, 2016 (UTC)
