Quests[]
We certainly can assume that every quest will have a trophy. Why not slip in the quests we have now? Nukey (talk) 19:52, June 24, 2010 (UTC)
- Because the quests we have now are conjecture and speculation. The only known one is Ghost Town Firefight; I think that the rest of them should be deleted for now...
- And we can't assume that all of the achievements will be linked to quests. It was a really cheap way to do achievements for Fallout 3, maybe Vegas will do it differently. Nitty Tok. 19:55, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Easier?[]
They seem easier to get then the ones in fallout 3 were... in F3 you had to hack 50 or pick 50 locks for them. this one it's 25. does this mean there might be fewer computers and locks? or do they simply want to make it easier on the player? i personaly hated the 50 hack one. took hours to find one that i hadn't already hacked--Silverfox6000 18:33, October 6, 2010 (UTC)
Know When to Fold 'em[]
The conditions for this one are "Lose 3 Games of Caravan," as far as I'm aware. The one for winning 3 is called "Know When to Hold 'Em," as I just recieved it. Feel free to check. - LordSchmee (Laptop won't log me in)
Console does *not* necesarily disable achievements[]
In my experience console does not, as claimed in the article, disable achievements entirely. Certain commands (such as god mode) do, but others don't (e.g. give PC Mysterious Stranger's .44, tcai and others as well). --82.26.180.92 01:07, November 1, 2010 (UTC)
Mods DO NOT disable achievements.[]
i am playing a game of Fallout new vegas on the pc and i have received several achievements with mods enabled.
- Seconding this, Mods do not disable achievements. Running about a dozen mods, (DarnUI, Better Lucky 38, Inventory Sorters, a few I made myself to put the stats of Armor I wanted onto the models of Armor I prefer visually, and more) and I have earned over 30 achievements. Mods do not interfere with achievements, as of the most recent version of the game.
Well I have done one playthrough mods loaded half way through with no problems (Hardcore). Now I've started a second playthrough (Normal mode), no problems with achievements until I reached lvl 28. Didn't get Globe Trotter or Master of the Mojave achievements using Exteneded NVR Generator and Luxury Hideout mods only. Both happened during the same session. :/ Kronnus 10:58, March 22, 2011 (UTC)
Upon further investigation into my issue (using Steam on PC), apparently the Steam app decided to lose the validation of my email address during the uncompleted achievements. The Gangs All Here Query[]
Do you actually have to complete the game with each companion for this achievement? I've recruited all companions but only for short amounts of time and completed all their particular quests in the meantime, but I didn't get the achievement. Any ideas? MiyuEmi 12:36, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

Do something 10,000 times achievements[]
Do these kind of achievements accumulate across multiple playthroughs or each of them should be achieved within the same run? It seems, saving and reloading within the same run sets these counters back (e.g. you cannot kill & reload to do it 10k times). --Kd82 11:35, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
It seems that each achievement must be completed in one playthrough. I had to focus on different combat styles in different playthroughs to get them all. I'm on the 360.Taipanpenguin 07:44, December 10, 2010 (UTC)
Does earning any trophy negate getting another?[]
For instance if I get the "The house always wins" trophy does that mean I have to replay (or reload a old save) to earn the "Wild Card" trophy? What about the other quests in the game, does earning any of those make it impossible to get another on the same save? I was hoping I can finally get a platinum in one play through.
- Yes. If you choose to do the Wild Card achievements, you will instantly fail 'The House Always Wins' and 'The House has Gone Bust', at least this is how it worked for me. Doing the Wild Card achievements will also fail 'Render unto Ceasar'. This forces multiple playthroughs to get all side quests completed which I'm not sure I like, but oh well. 193.120.145.210 14:19, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

Hello, I too use Pc/Steamworks: On the Steam page/FO:NV, prior to launching the game file through Library, i view my achievements there. Not sure how you start your game but i have pinned Steam to my taskbar (Win7 user). Hope this helps. Kronnus 10:51, March 22, 2011 (UTC)
- To access achievements in-game you need to open up the steam overlay (assuming you have it enabled) by pressing the assigned key (default is Shift+tab) and there will be a button in the overlay labeled "View all achievements"--24.10.250.136 19:05, March 27, 2011 (UTC)

Incomplete?[]
Yo guys, the other day i got some achievements that i can't seem to find anywhere on the net. One was something like: 'hear the whole sad story 3/4'. This was referring to hearing the history before the events of dead money from every character. And there was also one about hear about travels you are gonna undertake (1/5) . This one popped up when Christine told about the other courier that went to the big empty. Hope you guys can help me find the other achievements.

Ain't that a kick in the head trophy[]
Recently i had to restart my game, because i accidentally erased my PS3 account. Now, when I finish "ain't that a kick in the head" instead of getting the "You got a trophy" box, a "you didn't get a trophy" box appears. What can I do?
74 of 75[]
I recently completed all of the possible achievements, but something went wrong. It says I only have 74 0f 75 unlocked and 1640 out of 1655 Gamerscore; I know I have all of them, and when I select view all it shows I have all 75 comlpeted. Others have had the same problem I know, so it isn't just me. Is there any word if this glitch/error will be fixed?

Imported Savegames?[]

Steam achievements and console use : apparently this wiki is wrong when it says you can re-set an achievement with a loaded game: did NOT work for the 3 achievements for Roulette, Blackjack, and Slots! Yesterday, I replayed (at a different casino) more than 10 games of each, but no badge, while I did get the Warhead Hunter badge yesterday in the same play through. 98.255.42.182 02:11, July 12, 2013 (UTC)
- "re-set" is a poor choice of words. Every Steam Achievement has a corresponding in-game challenge (or in the case of the GRA "Star" Achievements, corresponding challenges). If you beat said in-game challenge, Steam Achievements are enabled (i.e. no console usage in that play session), and you don't already have the Achievement, you'll get that Achievement. So if you attempt to "re-set" by restarting the game, and then loading a save from after you've completed the related challenge - nothing is going to happen. Rather, you need to load a save from before you beat the challenge, beat it, and then you'll get the Achievement. Digital Utopia (talk) 07:37, July 25, 2014 (UTC)
