Respawning aliens[]

Didn't see any mention here about the 2 aliens that respawn upstairs after completing the DLC to keep you topped up on Alien Power Modules and weapons (one spawns with Disintegrator, other with Atomizer, every 3 days). Piercehead 18:49, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Safe Containers[]

Anyone have the time to finish the DLC and test which containers dont respawn? And not just in the Engineering Core, but everywhere on the ship/house after the DLC has been completed. Revelations 21:6 19:31, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

I'd be interested to know if those containers are safe even during the quest. I can't return to the wasteland and don't have enough weight allowance to carry everything. It would be nice to store some stuff before I get to leave.

Well as long as you dont leave the Engineering Core for 72-73 hours I dont think the containers will respawn. But since the Core is constantly changing, Im not sure if this rule applies to it during Among the Stars quest. Revelations 21:6 19:31, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

well you could take all the stuff u have collected, and take it to the wasteland. weight aint a factor when traveling between the wasteland and the mothership, its not like fast travel.but still u have to stash the gear somewhere just to fast-travel home. a good place is a footlocker in a destroyed house a little northwest from the crashsite. .u cant miss it. i did this, got all the possible followers, came back to the crashsite and used my group as "packmules".

There is a container located on the first floor in the main chamber of the core in one of the corners, I've been storing all my extra weapons and armor in it throughout my time on MZ, everything has remained as is, even throughout the changes in the layout of the core that take place while you're running through the MZ quests. I haven't tried coming back to it after heading back to the wasteland, but I'm willing to wager that nothing will disappear. I'll let you know what happens when I get a chance to play again.--DashMan54 14:24, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

I added a notes section with a guaranteed safe container, I waited for about 5 days every time I destroyed another generator so after 15 days all my items were there.--FLaSHBaCK HaSH 15:42, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Is the safe footlocker described in the notes section the one that has a set of Recon Armor in it?

No, it is the one just to the right, in a pile of trash. It's sort of buried there and might be easy to miss if you don't know where to look. It's also empty I believe.

Is it the footlocker that is right above the suitcase by the far right wall in the NW corner?

Bugs[]

The article states that there is a floating turpentine in the core, written by a PC user. I noticed the exact same issue while playing through on the xbox, I "touched" it and it immediately dropped out of the air. I believe that this a universal bug and am altering the article to reflect this.--DashMan54 15:14, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Buttercup[]

I couldnt find the buttercup pony which totally upsets me because it could sit next to samurai lincoln in my home. it wasn't on the table next to the samurai (if i was looking at the right table). Is it the table in the room where the people where all frozen?--FLaSHBaCK HaSH 03:41, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

It's in the room with the staircase that runs from the 1st floor of the core to the second, the one with the life-size buttercup on the self. The smaller buttercup should down below the larger one. If you look all around that area and you don't see it, run through the next segment of the quest and come back and look again, it will appear eventually as more stuff is brought into this room by the NPCs. There are also a couple more located around MZ, so don't freak out if you can't find one, you'll run into another at some point.--DashMan54 13:14, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

child at heart[]

Can anyone tell me the contents of sally's stash

It's randomized as far as I know, there's two rooms that are blocked off with energy fields and both opened up immediately or soon after using the Child at Heart dialogue option so if they are both part of the stash it's around 4 containers of loot. But I'm not sure if these are the right stashes. Dont forget to sign your posts either.--FLaSHBaCK HaSH 15:49, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Notable Loot[]

I've added a few new items to the loot section including another nuka cola quantum, and a mini nuke. I was wondering if a nuka-grenade might count as notable loot since lower characters may not have found the schematics yet, which would make it rare. I also edited the Chinese commando hat because i grabbed the one in Taft Tunnels yet I still found a hat in the engineering core contrary to what the loot page says.--FLaSHBaCK HaSH 15:53, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Fatal Bug[]

I just returned to this deck after completing the DLC, I'm rather disappointed you can't explore the rest of the ship but even more so that none of the teleports work. After returning to the deck from the bridge all of the teleports stopped working. (360) 71.94.63.105 07:28, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

By "Fatal Bug" you mean the teleporter to the Bridge doesn't work? That's the only one that should be working.Piercehead 07:44, 11 August 2009 (UTC) Can ANYONE confirm this "fatal bug"?Piercehead 01:15, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

It happened to me, aparently if you put items in the footlocker and go into the steamworks this bug will ocur, this was on 360 so in other words comfirmed.

Miniture Drone holding Teddy Bear[]

The notes section mentions a easter egg thing but I don't see it, does it appear later with the other random loot?
Also is it inside the floor or under the stairs? Spellunker 19:01, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

Vending Machine[]

Where the hell did they find a Vending Machine?

Well,Vegas maybe?Near vegas?Deserted town full of crazies? The Second Wolf Brother. 13:55, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Referring to the sidekicks. I can understand all the misc loot being taken from compartments and rooms that they somehow find a way into, but a damned Vending Machine? With the ship's tight corners and hallways I don't think it's even possible to drag one through to that location. --Carpathian Cookie 01:24, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
I still want to know where they got all that stuff from! They never leave the room unless they're with the Lone Wanderer. Also, how the hell did they trash the entire core so quickly?! Man, it's like the aftermath of a huge party.
While the cat's away, the mice will play. Who says they aren't having parties while the Lone Wanderer searches for generators to destroy?--79.207.105.79 17:14, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
Well, there's some aboard the ship (talk "Cargo"), so mebbe they pulled one over? There's no individual "timeline" in which this cannot work out, only with the benefit of program reading can we conclude that there's summin' strange. Okay, it is strange (but also funny) how these Wasteland things turn up up there, but it works. --93.232.186.179 00:54, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

Other Save Loot Sites?[]

I think that the Alien containers in the room where Sally takes you if you have Child at Heart are safe. I've explored through all of the optional areas to get the extra items and Cryo Storage and I still have everything. Can anyone comfirm that these are safe? I'm using the one closest to the shelf on the opposite side of the door.--KnightNapier 00:35, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Paladin Hoss?[]

Has anyone ever found Paladin Hoss there. I found him in the Cyro Storage, I'm not sure where he came from thought. HE ended up following me into the engenering core then after that he disappered. Thought I can't talk to him.76.253.108.176

Engineering Core not changing[]

I've completed Mothership Zeta's three quests, and after reading this article I went back for a visit. I realised that the place never changed like it was meant to - the Quantum, mini nuke, alien power cells, vending machine, etc. never appeared. Yet another disappointing bug in MZ. =( I play on PS3 by the way. Telos 08:06, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Post-Space Walk bug[]

After activating the teleporter to the room with the glass floor, Sally is meant to open up some door in the same room, but she and all the other survivors just went through the teleport, then back again after I turned it on. Is there a way to fix this?? Or do I have to reload from a previous save? -Bottletopman

The Aliens might not steal but the script does.[]

xbox 360.

  • Loaded my gathered items from hanger deck into the hanger container by the entrance door only to find that when I had completed the destruction of the core and was about to leave found that the large oval container with over 400 itmes in it was empty.
  • Also to gather as many items as possible don`t use the force field buttons to kill. The script will remove the bodies before they can be looted. Kill and loot each Alien or Drone seperately. You will of course require 100 stealth for this and having FISTO for silence will help.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 22:37, June 22, 2013 (UTC)

and I have that 1 h/bar Paladin Hoss turn up now instead of his mate, in every sequence as well. I wonder if he space walks. ? --1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 22:41, June 22, 2013 (UTC)
