Yeah it should. I just noticed that myself. This is definitely a NCR location since they control it and the NCR guards respawn and you gain infamy with NCR for related quest. --Mrnotwen 17:05, November 13, 2011 (UTC)
There is no guarantee that there is a Gauss Rifle in the crate. Whoever wrote that had the gun appear as randomly generated loot.
Killing the Guards[]
You can pretty easily kill the guards without gaining infamy. With a high sneak skill, run in with a silenced weapon, kill one (while hidden), then quickly run out before they get angry. Wait a few seconds, then repeat.
I had NCR armor on at the time, which prevents them from being immediately hostile. They'll do the "you betta get outta here..." for a bit before attacking. 98.255.92.64 09:45, July 24, 2012 (UTC)
