The top level, where the Drifter is, can be accessed with a bit of effort. Come in from the back side (east) of the Tabernacle, equip a Stealth Boy and then using a missile launcher shoot the Drifter out of the rafters.
You don't need to do that, you can sneak around to the front entrence, and pick him off, or do it from a dafe distance using a sniper rifle. If the body stays up there, then use a grenade to knock him off his post. Reguardless if it throws him a distance you will see him, and can obtain all items he has on him. Save yourself the stealthboy. Also there is a gltich to make him respwan with his unique sniper rifle, by not killing him, but keep talking his rifle.GodsHand 21:12, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
IMO, vats option for the Unique Rifle[]
I find it easier to, get directly underneath him, then make your self seen, so he looks for you, then target him in vats with a pistol 10mm works well, and aim for the rifle only using 1 shot. Repeat as much until you shoot it out. I say 1 at a time, as to not running the risk of shooting him, and wounding him for future atemps at getting more then one rifle. Because he will respawn the rifle but not his health. At least not in my game.GodsHand 21:19, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
