Looks like the Behind the Scenes section I added before, saying that Jack & Diane are a reference to the John Mellencamp song of the same name, has been removed. Out of all the cultural references in New Vegas, I was convinced of this one as soon as I met them both! Well, here's a link to the music video so decide for yourselves? Note the hair colour? The fact that they're always referred to as Jack & Diane, not simply Jack or Diane. Willooi 16:26, November 25, 2010 (UTC)

Behind the Scenes entry restored[]

I've put it back in, for me there's enough evidence supporting the reference. If someone's going to remove it again, leave a reason. Just because you don't know the reference doesn't mean that there isn't one there. Cheers

Beyond hair color and names they have zero in common with the song. The admins agree there isn't enough to support the reference. Most songs that are references come from a particular time period, which that song does not fulfill. Mictlantecuhtli 07:14, December 24, 2010 (UTC)
