Merging the articles[]

I personally don't think it's that good to merge this one with the main FNV endings page, as the main FNV endings page is already pretty big. Adding the ending text of the next few DLCs (which most likely will have at least the same amounts of text and slides), will / would clutter the page even more.--Mr.Lexx(talk) 22:28, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, it's best to leave it on its own page. Maybe one endings page for all the add-ons? Ausir(talk) 22:36, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

Bug?[]

So finished Sierra Madre, locked elijah down in the vault and left. Ran through the endings and everyone's speeches and then came to Elijah's final speech about the Sierra Madre: "You've heard of the Sierra Madre Casino. We all have..." blah, blah, blah. Then right after the last line, "Finding it, though, that's not the hard part. It's letting go." It suddenly called out "WHOA" it even showed up in subtitles. This a bug, intentional or what?--A Pickering 18:43, January 31, 2011 (UTC)

When you finish Fallout New Vegas and the slide show starts rolling, you are actually in a room watching the slide show. So for whatever reason, the game spawned some kind of enemy in the room and the other NPC in the room (I can't remember his name) got freaked out.--173.3.126.146 22:11, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

Mistake[]

I kept all of my companions alive, but the intro I got is listed here as the one you get for all companions dying. Mr. Glow 10:46, February 10, 2011 (UTC)

side with elijah[]

I don't know how to side with elijah, what do i have to do to side with him and in which quest?(Vvardenfell)

As far as I know, you have to do really a lot to get the "bad" ending. Few of the prerequisites are having a bad reputation with the NCR, some Dead Money companions have to die (God/Dog?), you have to talk about everything with Veronica and Christine, and so on.--Mr.Lexx(talk) 15:26, March 16, 2011 (UTC)

All you have to do is have a bad reputation with the NCR (Vilified works, Wild Child doesn't), and you have to have exhausted all of Veronica's dialog about Elijah BEFORE starting the DLC. If you already talked to Veronica before installing the DLC, you'll have to run through each dialog option of hers again, so the game will 'recognize' that you've talked to her. Those are the only two requirements, but it's pretty easy to mess them up. After that, there's a dialog option in the final conversation with Elijah where you can mention Veronica. Then you just follow that conversation until you're given the option to talk about NCR, then you can make an NCR Reputation check, and then you have the option of joining Elijah.

Can you continue your game if you side with Elijah? --DannyK92 22:17, May 21, 2011 (UTC)

Intro Message[]

Apparently there's some confusion about this part of the introduction: "The survivors of the Sierra Madre thought about gathering at the Fountain and waiting for the Courier. In the end, the collars' silence made them uneasy, and the fear of turning on each other made them hesitate, and leave the goodbyes - unspoken. The radio message at the fountain was enough for them, and there was no need to add another farewell on top of all they had suffered."

It says "all companions survive," but I killed Dean Domino and got this message, so I tried changing it to "at least two companions survive" but an anon changed it back. Can anyone confirm this for me? FinalWish 12:31, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

There might be some type of glitch, because I didn't get the same ending when I killed Dean Domino in my first playthrough, while in my second playthrough everyone survived. Confirmed Bachelor 777 03:05, April 9, 2011 (UTC)

Does anyone know more about this bit: "The radio message at the fountain was enough for them..."? I've looked for a leftover holotape or sommat, and can't find anything.

Dog/God Endings[]

I wanted to get the God only ending for Dog/God, but no path through the dialogue tree allowed me to get that ending (I could get the other options: Dog/God alive, Dog alive, Dog dead by my hand, Dog dead by his own hand). After Googling the problem, I found other people having the same issue and some people were giving the explanation that if you let Dog out of his cage at any point after you meet Dog/God, you lock yourself out of this ending. I wanted to hear the dialogue for what Dog has to say (didn't even know about the perk he gives until much later) and I would have saved beforehand if I thought it had any effect on the ending, but I didn't see any reason to.

Can someone confirm that it is in fact the case that bringing Dog out of the cage even once cuts the player off from that ending? If it is the case, a) that's really stupid and b) that should be made clear somewhere on the wiki, either where the endings are listed or in the article for the quest wherein you meet Dog. Didn't want to edit the article without confirming.
