I finished Veronica's quest at Followers Outpost but didn't get the perk. Only got the message for the perk. Tried several times from saved games at different states. Denizsi 15:59, March 22, 2011 (UTC)
I just verified my game files with Steam and then checked with GECK and the only addperk line with Veronica is for the Scribe Assistant perk. As is currently the case with "Bonds of Steel" perk, the game doesn't even give this perk under any condition but I still think the problem might be with my installation because it's unlikely that this would go unnoticed when Bonds of Steel perk didn't. After a reinstall and double checking FNV.esm with FNVEdit and GECK without any other plugins, I'm certain that this perk simply is not granted. The only references to the perk in the entire master file are the perk entry itself and the message(s) telling you that you got the perk. And I have modified the page accordingly.
It should also be noted, for would be modders to fix this, that there are no script conditions set for this and the other perk (Bonds of Steel) you get from Veronica to account for when you part with and re-recruit Veronica or tell her to wait and to follow you back. I wonder whether the developers completely forgot to add the perk itself properly or decided to take it out but forgot to remove the messages themselves.
In the notes section, I specifically wrote "not awarded" instead of "bugged" because I (we?) have no idea if the perk itself will actually work since it's not put to use at all and hence not a bug.Denizsi 21:07, March 22, 2011 (UTC)
I've made a mod that restores both perks (this and Bonds of Steel) but I don't know if I should add that to the main pages of the respective entries.

Nothing is fixed in reality (tested on PC version only). Or I simply don't see it. Correct me if I'm wrong...
