Someone with Cardiac Arrest is less resistant to poison when compared to Heartless (which gives 100% resistance - that is, immunity). In other words, Neither perk (0%) < Cardiac Arrest (50%) < Heartless (100%). The wording is a bit confusing, but it makes sense once you realize that Cardiac Arrest replaces Heartless. 201.10.12.108 21:02, September 22, 2011 (UTC)

Considering that you have a base poison resistance, ranging from 10% with 2 endurance to 45% with 10 endurance, it still makes no sense if your character is not one of the few with the bare minimum of endurance and therefor has a base poison resistance of 0%. That the effects of none of the other mutually exclusive perks are described in a way that would compare them to those of their alternatives, including the other ones of Cardiac Arrest itself, suggests that it is fair to assume that it is indeed a messed up description and not only "confusing" wording.
