Can you seriously just take off the link for Logan it's not that character. EchoZero1 23:45, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

It was nuclear waste that was unleashed by the Legion. There was no nuclear detonation, so the article stating that some were "flash-vaporized" is incorrect. ComaDivine 14:02, October 23, 2010 (UTC)

in game the characters describing the event did say that some people were killed instantly and the others became ghouls Namad 06:36, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Private Edwards[]

I've gotten him to agree to go outside, but I haven't found anywhere to suggest he goes... the nearby rangers refuse to accept a ghoul... is there somewhere else I can suggest he goes? how do i pull it off? or should i just suggest he go talk to the nearby rangers, and watch them kill him? I hate doing evil stuff but I will if there is no good option Namad 06:38, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Key(s)[]

I am unable to open dialogue with Logan (he just makes passing comments), and when I pickpocket or kill him, there are no keys to be found. I wanted to get into the police station and firehouse, but it seems I'm stuck.

Bug?[]

How do I get Astor to offer info about the Ranger station so I can tell Edwards about it? Is there a console command for it? I see in GECK that it's labeled VM43CampSearchlightTopic114 but it never shows up when talking to him, and I can only tell Edwards the lie or to head out to the wastes. Hostility Issues[]

So here I was, level 20 and exploring with my new perk when I saw this place and thought to myself, "Oh! This looks cool!". So here I am walking towards Camp Searchlight when I am attacked bya group of ghouls. Is this a bug?--76.92.250.246 21:36, November 2, 2010 (UTC) no its not they are hostile to any one i've been their 56 times and counting

keeping logan alive[]

the easiest way to keep logan alive is to tell him you are ready to go, then run off and fast travel somewhere and back. he will reset to the basement, and you can go clear the enemies out of the places, then go get him again.

its the only way i could keep him alive in the fire station fight. he dies in like 5 seconds and thats it.

amusing bug[]

sometimes when i reload my game after kill the giant radscorpions, i will get this amusing bug where instead of placing the dead bodies in town where i killed them, it places their bodies miles up in the sky and you can watch them fall down and land in the town.

it doesnt really affect anything, but it was rather amusing the first time it happened.

I failed the wheel of fortune quest and...[]

Is there a way I can still get Knock Knock, I killed boxcars.

You HAVE to get teh key from Logan's body, one way or another. If you can't, then no.--Nicky NV 01:25, January 29, 2011 (UTC)

Boxcars respawns. I guess they figured enough people would screw up and kill him the first time they went into Nipton, so they made him respawn. But I play on the 360 and maybe its different for you if your a ps3 or a pc. Go back and check Nipton, idk if the quest will still work but you might be able to get the suits, bring them to Logan, go inside, and get the axe as if it were unmarked Shepherd's ghost 01:38, January 29, 2011 (UTC)

We Will All Go Together SNAFU[]

I met Logan first cuz I was looking for Holy Hand Grenades and I went into his church instead and did the quest for him. In the process we killed every ghoul in Searchlight. Once we were done I left for the Sierra Madre and then came back a while after that, met Astor and received We Will All Go Together. There were about 4 corpses left, and I was able to salvage their tags and Edwards' but all the other bodies unspawned. Am I screwed? Shepherd's ghost 01:35, January 29, 2011 (UTC)

Actually, something similar happened to me. Just leave the area and give it a while, the bodies will respawn in 72 hours. --Delta1138 SnooPING AS usual I see 15:38, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

I completed Logan's quest, killed him and also found all nine NCR dogtags. I returned the dogtags to Aster and sent Edwards to the ghoul Ranger Station but he never gave me his dogtags. I checked the station and he isn't there nor is he in the house and Aster won't let me complete or fail the quest. Am I effed in the A?

20 missiles in a duffle bag?[]

"missiles (20) can be found in a duffle bag, second floor of the fire house in a bunk room." i can 't find these ,is this true?--Frizstyler 01:04, July 14, 2011 (UTC)

It's not false, it's just random + someone with the Scrounger perk found it there. I removed it from the page. --Kris User Hola 01:39, July 14, 2011 (UTC)

Can someone tell me why logan isn't even in the storage area when i go down there?...it's empty. thanks. dfwtexmet@yahoo.com

i dont think they are feral[]

i dont think the feral ncr troopers are feral because their armor is intact they use combat knives and they dont have the posture or appearance of a feral ghoul but now i wonder: if they are not feral then why do they attack you? i bet it's really obvious and i just cant rap my head around it unless it had something to do with that bible verse. --David Olvera (talk) 13:03, April 12, 2015 (UTC)

Inconsistencies in backstory[]

While it's apparent that the destruction of Camp Searchlight was due to legion sabotage, It's not obvious exactly how they accomplished this. the three stories I've heard, said that the legion either detonated a low yield nuclear bomb, an improvised dirty bomb from radioactive waste and conventional explosives, or deliberate sabotage of the hazardous waste containers in the Searchlight Fire Station. I seriously doubt that the last one is the case, as every ghoul I can think of off the top of my head was created from the fallout of a nuclear detonation. the only exception I have seen to this is vault 34, which was a closed environment where escape from the radiation was impossible, allowing ghoulification to take place over a long period. Does anyone have any ideas?

RE:

The most common belief is the legion forcefully made a makeshift mininuke out of a hazmat barrel or group of thekm, a "barrel bomb" of hazmat barrels grouped together and imploded in close proximity to create perpetual fallout at Camp Searchlight, hence the destroyed buildings while some remain perfectly stable, and the green cloud, and the fact even indoor areas are irradiated because ionized radiation seeped through the cracks, ghoulification is supposedly to of occured instantly, and there was barely any time to react. and those who did take refuge needed a huge salvage of RadX and Radaway, as witnessed by the NCR storeroom becoming a makeshift safehouse, and likely those supplies have to be constantly used as even the storehouse is irradiated. 99.20.240.29 09:12, November 4, 2015 (UTC) Editors Email: SueSakamotoTakari@gmail.com

This terminal entry implies that it was a nuclear explosion - it talks about a sudden temperature increase - but the Legion orders imply that the place was wiped out by a simple release of radiation from the parked waste trucks. 146.90.47.251 19:40, June 30, 2018 (UTC)

WARNING! Trooper ghoul attacks are very deadly.[]

I had about 1,255 HP, plus HP regen from the irradiation of the area with rad child, the ghouls hit HARD with combat knives. Doing an approximate of 450 and up damage, an rough estimate suggests anywhere between 650 and 700, especially when they dish critical hits. This was with all DT perks and armor related perks and even stone wall. 2 hits and I was DEAD. Aim for the combat knives, the ghouls do a lot of damage "up close", and I wasn't hallucinating, nor am I trolling, they did up to 650 to 700 damage with knives but not rifles. I have no mods installed that handicap enemies, no mods that increase weapon damage, hardcore mode was not turned on, didn't use console commands. They either were extremely hard hitters, or I encountered a glitch specific to camp searchlight. 99.20.240.29 08:59, November 4, 2015 (UTC) Editor Contact: SueSakamotoTakari@gmail.com
