Just wondering if anyone knows a good location to get a bunch of cameras. I know they're sorta everywhere, but is there any place in particular to nab a few?

Now that you can turn these in for 100 Caps and 25 experience after the events of Broken Steel I'm regretting never collecting them. Oh well, something to keep in mind for a future play-through.

  • There are a few in boxes in the new sections of Fort Banister. There are several places in the Broken Steel campaigns where you'll find 'hidden' gnomes with cameras, often with teddies. For example, there's a room with a teddy and a gnome playing checkers, a gnome photographing two teddies tied to rails (who have a sign saying "help us", a gnome playing skittles under a desk. But so far I haven't found a place where there's a lot of them. Mooka 11:47, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

A lot of safes usually have a camera in them.GodPlageon 06:39, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Camera Locations[]

Using the GECK theres around 65 camera youll definitely find, theres 6 or so in Evergreen Mills Bazaar and 6 in the Chryslus Building (3 in the first area, 1 in the 2nd and 2 in the 3rd) and 1-3 around other locations. Its worth noting that youll likely find many more in Junk item containers and vendors are known to sell some, heck the other day I got 2 off Seagrave so you can continually buy them and sell them unlike Pre-War books whioh are harder to come by from vendors.

  1. 6 in Evergreen Bazaae
  2. 6 in Chryslus Building (3, 1, 2-corresponding cells)
  3. 2 in Fort Constantine
  4. 3 in LOB (2 in the entrance section, 1 in the Eastern Wing)
  5. 3 in the Red Racer Factory (2 in CEO offices {i think})
  6. 1 in Tenpenny Tower
  7. 2 in Warrington Station
  8. 2 in Nifty Thrifty, Takoma Park
  9. 2 spread out in National Guard (maybe difficult to find)

Obviously these are only a few, if you have it on PC you can check the GECK.

Good thing I always hoard random crap.I have,like,84 of these. When I get back from the pitt...Heh heh heh. HuangLee 18:53, October 24, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, but you'll eventually get so many caps and hit level 30... But Callahan's magnum is forever... Nitty 18:56, October 24, 2009 (UTC)

^ Yes, I didn't inject the FEV, etc and been a goody two shoes throughout most of the game. I think I deserve the magnum for all my hard work in making the wasteland a better place. If that means a few dead inept, and totally ineffective brotherhood members then so be it. At least the ones at the purifier will be spared. Mictlantecuhtli 13:00, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

Brownie Hawkeye Flash[]

The Camera is a dead ringer for the Brownie Hawkeye Flash, and when compared to the Kodak model listed in previous revisions of the page, it's clear that the resemblance to the Kodak is flimsy at best. --Kris User Hola 17:38, November 3, 2010 (UTC)

I was more concerned with the page being listed as potentially unsafe by my browser, so I added a wikipedia link instead. Mictlantecuhtli 17:41, November 3, 2010 (UTC)
That's fine. I didn't get a warning, but I was gonna put the wikipedia link in anyway; however, I wasn't able to find the right one in a cursory search. --Kris User Hola 18:00, November 3, 2010 (UTC)

Use in New Vegas?[]

The article indicates that cameras are miscellaneous items in New Vegas, but does not clarifiy whether or not cameras are used for anything in New Vegas (ingredients to craft other things, to fulfill marked or unmarked quests when given to an NPC, etc). Can this be clarified?

A misc item is an item that has no real purpose, similar to Nuka-Cola trucks or Embalming fluid. - RASICTalk 19:23, April 25, 2011 (UTC)

TLR not used correctly[]

Although the camera is a twin-lens reflex, Jonas Palmer does not use the camera properly. The view finder is located on the top of the camera; more commonly held at chest level looking down. Instead, Jonas uses it as a SLR (single lens reflex) putting camera in front of his face (where there is no view finder), thereby shooting blindly at the subjects. 111.69.196.171 21:38, April 22, 2012 (UTC)

rock-it launcher ammo?[]

the page says hat it uses rock-it launcher ammo but that doesn't make any sense shouldn't it use some kind of energy weapon ammo?
