If you do the Open Season quest, the pack mole-rats will not be hostile to you. After Open Season, 1 pack cat and 1 pack mole-rat can survive if you don't kill them.
In the backstage, 2 pack cats, 1 pack mole-rat and 1 pack yao guai can still be seen around if you are careful not to kill them. 2 captives are still there of course.
