M. Night WTF is going on?[]

If Douglas was just "a denizen of Far Harbor that agreed to help Cassie avenge her husband" that went nuts and turned trapper, doesn't that imply that maybe the tragic tale of the Daltons is just a huge pile of crap? Why would Cassie Dalton send the player to kill someone that she herself sent out? Who was Douglas sent to kill? And what about the guy Douglas killed, did she send him out to kill someone else? Where does it end?? Was there even a Dalton Family? How do we know she didn't give herself that name because of the existing trashed farm and spun it into an old fisherman's tale? That holotape is one big loose end. Has nothing else been found or explored quest-wise or lore-wise relating to this tape? Someone call Oxhorn! Noobyorkcity (talk) 05:40, November 1, 2017 (UTC)

Hmm, so Douglas were not returned to her after she sent him to kill the leader of the trappers. So Cassie probably did not know that the trappers the power shift. But on the quest it would be logical to give her the holotape that she cried and repented.--Mrs danka (talk) 06:43, November 1, 2017 (UTC)

I don't know how anyone got this from the holotape. It seems pretty obvious (the way I see it anyways) that Cassie had asked some other poor idiot to go out and avenge her husband's death. Unfortunately, that person was in the middle of recording that tape when he was ganked by the Trapper leader guy - presumably the same one who killed Cassie's husband. Lighthouse Trapper guy then takes the holotape off said guy, which is where you find it. The one thing that I found strange was that in the quest description it claims Cassie's husband died saving his men, while she clearly states that it was simply a random act of violence and he died never even knowing anything was wrong.--BlueExcess (talk) 15:14, May 5, 2018 (UTC)
