Doesn't this weapon, which is unusually common, kinda cancel out the point of the Blade of the East?
I also think that it's a bit of proselytizing on Obsidian's part, too. I mean, why else would they make something which obviously represents the NCR (given that the BotE represents Legion) more powerful but to make a point? Not as if they haven't been doing so the entire game, but hey... Йура

- "obviously represents the NCR"? Did you listen to the dialog? It doesn't represent the NCR at all! It's a tribute of sort toward Legate Lanius by the former Legion Marked men. Also the fact that it's more powerful is a moot point as you can use the Blade of the East for a whole 5 seconds before the game ends. --71.55.138.194 01:40, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

Causes 360 freezes?[]
Is it just me, or does use of this weapon cause the game to freeze somewhat more often on the 360? I've had this weapon glitch more often both in and out of V.A.T.S. than anything else. Don't want to add it to bugs unless others have also noted this issue. (The Wasteland Inventor 03:39, October 13, 2011 (UTC))
- Well I was fighting some feral ghouls near the Test Site and while in third person, I swung the blade right on the ghouls head, and it froze, I could literally see the blade inside his head, but it froze so I had to reset. --Felix Brehh
