Same here. No new dialogue from Dashwood, but I had already killed the ghouls for Tenpenny. Oddly enough, Dashwood couldn't seem to make up his mind on what I had done to resolve the ghoul situation; he would say he was sad that I had killed them and that he was glad that I'd allowed them to come in (if I talked to him more than once). But anyway, it seems you have to find Argyle before resolving the ghoul situation. --Shizaara 21:38, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
I checked out the Herbert "Daring" Dashwood page, and apparently if you kill the ghouls (as I did), you can't talk to Herbert about poor Argyle. --Shizaara 20:32, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
I was so shocked to find argyle dead (I liked the story on GNR) that i resurrected him via console command and spawned him near Dashwood. Obviously you still can only tell him you found him dead and the two dont interact. Argyle looks and talks like Gob.

I question that as well.I think it was natural causes.There's no blood near him (meaning it wasn't a fight),his arms are out (signaling he wasn't trying to stop whatever killed him),and ghouls live notably long lives,which some try to "pass the time" by taking jet.Many ghouls do take jet which is often a cause of drug-related deaths in Fallout 3.So it could be either Jet or health problems.I think we can safely deduce it is a Jet or a Jet-related death. He fell. on the radio show he says "that ledge up ahead, you think you can jump it?" and if you look up you can see two sticking out rock ledge looking bits oposite each other, he could make the jump fell and died, Dashward could see this because of all the commotion. The final episode you can hear Dashwood say "I can't...hold...on...much...longer..." Which is weird because he survived but Argyle didn't. I was thinking Argyle tried to save Dashwood but this just resulted in both of them falling, but when you tell Dashwood Argyle is dead, he's surprised. But, I'm 90% sure the "Rollings- we're done." Holdisk on a table before getting to Argyle's corpse has something to do with his death. They mention the Pitt (I think you need DLC) and that they're done there. Due to this, I have another theory that Argyle survived, joined these "Rollings" (Which perhaps are the Wildmen) then Argyle, perhaps right before going to the Pitt, wanted to visit Rockopolis and when there, his partners decided to leave him so they killed him. (Perhaps with cracking his neck or hitting him on the head with a gun, due to that there's no blood around his body.) Or maybe even the theory that everyone thinks. Im sure that Dashwood says the radio shows are just based on his adventures, they arent necessarily 100% accurate. I would think that Argyle was simply killed by raiders when trying to protect the Rockopolis citizens, blood will easily have faded, washed away, whatever after the decades since they adventured.--MrSuperHappy 21:28, November 12, 2011 (UTC)

How does he know about Shady Sands?[]
How would Argyle even know about Shady Sands to name a Shuffle after it? Shady Sands was all the way in california a long time before Fallout 3 (which could say that Argyle randomly decided to move to the Capital Wasteland from California (although that would be a bit of a strech given the status of the world and the difficulty there would be in getting there)), but it was extremely small which would mean that news of it wouldn't spread much farther than the immediate area (or, I suppose, to whoever Fallout Wiki Dweller told about it). Once it became the NCR there would be reason for news about it to spread (maybe even all the way to the Capital Wasteland as stories from travelers about an actual Republic starting to be made), but since they changed the name to NCR, there would be no reason for anyone to know it used to be named Shady Sands. This perplexes me to no end and it has been bugging me ever since I found Shady Sands in Fallout 1.
Even if I suspend my disbelief long enough to say "okay, he knows about Shady Sands" what could Shady Sands possibly have to do with sticking an active grenade/mine in someone's pants and then watching their junk explode, I've done every quest in Shady Sands and there is no mention of anyone doing anything like that to anyone at any period of time. I suppose there could be a reason for that bit at some point inbetween Fallout 1 and NCR's founding, but that opens up an entirely new set of questions that are actually rather funny when you think about it. Such as: "Who thought of this?", "Why did they do this?", "Who was it done to?", "What did some random person in Shady Sands do to deserve such a thing?", or "How much did the people that saw it and weren't particularly emotionally attatched to the person laugh about it?"
I suppose the second part could've been more appropriate on the Reverse-Pickpocketing page, but I felt it was just as appropriate on the page about the person that either named the Shady Sands Shuffle, or at the very least Popularized it in the Capitol (or was it Capital, I keep forgetting the difference) Wasteland.Turnoverman 03:11, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

Hes a Ghoul , and a tough cookie , i think he could suurvive a trip to the capital wastes from the west coast , and , since he and dashwood used to adventure together , we can also assume he might have liked adventuring/travelling/discovering ..

The "Shady Sands Shuffle" is not just a reference to the city, "Shady Sands", but it is also a reference to the film "Lucky number Slevin" Where Mr. Goodcat (Bruce Willis) mentions, "the Kansas City Shuffle", and the description "A Kansas City Shuffle is when everybody looks right, you go left."
