While working for the NCR and approaching Lucky 38 to kill Mr. House, he approached me for the second time of the game...to ask, "What do you need?" and giving a dialogue box consisting only of "I need to get going." - Heh, I'm on that same step of For the Republic 2. I went to my suite at the Lucky 38 and opened the chest I stash my stuff in, as soon as I close it the camera spins around and...."What do you need?". Sneaky bastage scared the hell out of me. I've had a Powder Ganger show up randomly in Vault 3 before and confront me, I was wearing a Khan outfit so the fiends weren't hostile, unfortunately for the Powder Ganger, he wasn't. 206.251.10.14 02:50, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

The Fort[]
I've never killed Vulpes and probably never will, so I'm wondering if anybody takes his place at the Fort. I know Gabban appears in Nipton and Alerio will appear at the Strip, but do either of them stand at Caesar's side beside his throne? Kill without Infamy[]
I removed the line claiming that you cannot kill him without gaining infamy. It IS possible. I just did it on PS3 Ultimate edition - 2nd try. Hiding behind Lucky 38 sign, 100 sneak + stealth boy with unsilenced Seqoia. Shot him in the head when he stopped walking near the lucky 38, instant kill. If "Detected" flashes up when you shoot, you will gain infamy, usually that means that you were too close or in line of sight of someone when he died.Jaguara333 (talk) 05:25, December 18, 2014 (UTC)
Does he only appear if Vulpes is dead?[]
He is not anywhere on the strip and Vulpes still lives so I wonder if he only appears after Vulpes is dead. I am trying to get the GRA challenge and need him to achieve it. 162.251.185.174 03:53, September 26, 2018 (UTC) Alexis
