Well it seems that this is a spelling redirect, and that most people probly would just type in .50 cal or use another link. Aside from that..... it would just be there.-- C 2 / C C 18:08, September 20, 2009 (UTC)

Sorry to have deleted your message but your question is rather strange. Of course it's necessary, like the .45 which is redirected to the .45 caliber. People are often more likely to type the key words within a name and needed this redirect for " type " in the .50 caliber template. Itachou 19:05, September 20, 2009 (UTC)
