Naming[]

Surly this should be named something different as the page talks about the rounds and not the gun itself. - RASICTalk 04:14, August 11, 2010 (UTC)

Nope, it fits the naming convention that the ammo goes here, not the gun. Assuming there is a .44 Magnum revolver in New Vegas, it would go in a page titled ".44 Magnum revolver (Fallout: New Vegas)"Kris mailbox 04:41, August 11, 2010 (UTC)

Wadcutters[]

Wadcutters are mentioned several times but what do they do? Frullic 08:42, November 13, 2010 (UTC)

Wadcutters are just a specialized bullets for shooting paper targets in a shooting range since it is meant to leave a clean hole on paper. Semi-Wadcutters on the other hand is a common hunting/plinking rounds with better ballistics for improved accuracy and the front-heavy bullet also improve its ability to punch through armor while still able to punch clean holes on paper. Bug - .44 SWC Hand Load[]

I bumped into Jules the other day and went through the conversation options to be awarded with the .44 SWC hand load schematic, and I can confirm that it does not show up in my list of recipes. I do not yet have the Hand Loader perk, so I may take that perk next to confirm the "fix." Gunhed508 15:34, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

yea, it is listed under bugs that you need both the schematics and the hand loader perk

.44 Special[]

Somebody certainly got excited about them being included in the patch. :P

I guess there's no reason to actually use them since they suck and are limited, right? Nitty Tok. 05:14, December 14, 2010 (UTC)

There probably isn't a proper reason to use them. But if they come in a cool-looking case or something, then they might be of some use as decorations. IncompetentMinion 12:51, December 14, 2010 (UTC)

They're good for using on enemies with low hp because you wont need the full damage of the normal round and they produce less stress on the gun so it wont degrade as fast. -Stud Muffin

.44 Magnum Round[]

Shouldn't the pagename be called .44 Magnum round? It seems to make more sense. You don't see the .50 MG page being called 50 Caliber. IncompetentMinion 11:27, December 14, 2010 (UTC)

The page is named after the way it is referred to in-game. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 17:23, April 23, 2011 (UTC)
Or it should be, just checked and it isnt 0.o User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 17:39, April 23, 2011 (UTC)

What the heck is this bugged again? I thought they fixed SWC recipe.[]

What the heck I have Hand Loader but no access to the .44 SWC rounds. I have the Community Patch for PC which used to fix this but maybe Obsidian fixing it in their latest patch is conflicting with the Community fix causing it to be bugged again? /facepalm Anyone know what's goin on here? 24.67.153.218 15:50, September 12, 2011 (UTC)
