Hehe, favorite weapon of mine. Deals insane damage with insane armor penetration and nearly limitless ammo. Yes, it has a five-round ~~clip~~ cylinder. But I usually end up with a few thousand rounds anyway... In my opinion, it clearly outperforms the PPK12 in every way: a small pistol using the secondmost-abundant ammo in the game, capable of penetrating Advanced Power Armor and deal 30-50 damage per shot WITHOUT CRITICALS. I was originally using it as backup to the sniper rifle, but I noticed that the sniper is tooooo slow and weak compared to this beast.--Amitakartok 19:10, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Update: I read somewhere in this wiki that this pistol has a bug which makes it ignore armor.--Amitakartok 20:32, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Waaay late to the discussion here, but yeah. The .223 has the "Penetrate" weapon perk according to Per Jorner, which makes it ignore 5 Normal damage threshold in addition to the armor penetration. Nitty ^Tok. 18:08, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

This just in!, I was watching the Fallout new vegas dev diary for factions and at 2:40-2:43, guess what I saw? That's right the .223 pistol is in New Vegas! If you want to see it check out Dev. Mabye we should rename this page so it's called .223 pistol (fallout) with it's apperance in Fallout: New Vegas confirmned

Behind the Scenes Description[]

The PKD Special, or "Blade Runner Gun" in the movie was not made from a .223 rifle as the description claims. It was made from a British Charter Arms .44 Magnum Bulldog revolver with a Steyr bolt-action reciever grafted to the top of the frame and barrel. That reciever is supposed to represent some sort of mini-grenade launcher, which is why the PKD had two triggers. That scene where Deckard is trying to kill Roy in the tenament building, and Roy dodges a big smokey explosion? That's the grenade launcher in action.

Wow! Thanks for the info and the accuracy. I have removed some of your info, not because it's wrong. The stuff about what projectiles the movie firearm fires, etc., is just not relevant to the article. But, I appreciated learning it; I'm a big Blade Runner fan myself.
