Subject 13 was a test subject in service to Vault-Tec Corporation before the Great War.[1]

Subject 13 was used by Vault-Tec to test their mood-enhancing soda fountain, created with chemicals from HalluciGen, Inc. This didn't turn out well for Subject 13, who eventually ended up staring at their hand for 13 hours straight.[1]
