The Southwest Poseidon mining complex was a vast pre-War mining facility in the Southwest United States.

Background[]

Before the Great War, Poseidon Energy was involved with every form of power production, distribution, and supply in existence. Unlike other energy moguls, they diversified and profited hugely from solar, fusion, as well as alternative power sources.[Non-game 1] They had a vast array of offices, plants, warehouses, safe houses, and other facilities across North America. One such location was a large mining facility located in the American Southwest.[Non-game 2]

Following the war the facility may have been held by a faction, remnants and descendants of the original staff, or still lie waiting to be discovered by wastelanders.[Non-game 3]

Appearances[]

The Southwest Poseidon mining complex is mentioned only in the Fallout: The Roleplaying Game.

Behind the scenes[]

The complex is a reference to the Eagle Rock mine complex of Burham Springs from the cancelled Van Buren project. In Van Buren the facility would have been a mine in the Southwest run by Prometheus Coal, a division of Poseidon Energy.
