The small backpack is a piece of apparel in the Fallout 76 update Nuclear Winter.
Characteristics[]
The small backpack is identical in appearance to the standard-size backpack but only provides half the Carry Weight. It is a simple bag made of green cloth and secured with leather straps. The small backpack features a spacious main compartment and two separate side pouches.
As the level of the small backpack increases, the base Carry Weight it provides also increases. It can also be outfitted with both functional and cosmetic mods. These include additional increased carry weight, increased Damage Resistance, and slower food spoilage.

Notes[]
- Much like other body armors, the small backpack provides no benefit when entering a suit of power armor.
- Despite having a set value, small backpacks cannot be dropped, traded, or sold.
- Small backpack mods use the same effect scale and magnitude of standard backpacks.
