Sam Bailey was the foreman of Kerwood Mine before the Great War.
Background[]
Sam was promoted to the position of foreman on August 15, 2077. He routinely feuded with fire boss Roy Kerwood, who displayed incompetence,[1] acted arrogantly and stole cash from the Kerwood Mine safe.
In October 2077, Sam was forced to deal with a mining accident and explosion that killed 17 and trapped 32 men. However, the Great War came before they could be rescued, and Sam stayed underground feeling haunted by the deaths of the miners, his last log being recorded two weeks after the bombs.[2]
