Background[]
Robert was the lover of Emogene Cabot prior to the Great War. His position within the federal government made him privy to confidential information regarding the state of the nation and just how delicate the geopolitical situation around the Sino-American War had become. Robert relayed this information to Emogene, who relayed it to the rest of her family, who at that point were paying little attention to the state of the outside world.[1][2]
