Red Rocket core is a miscellaneous quest item in Fallout 76.

Three are needed for the quest Waste Not. They are the primary power source used to power the protectrons at the Red Rocket Mega Stop. The high cost of manufacturing the cores meant they needed to be preserved even if decommissioning the rest of the robot. In addition, employee damage to the core could result in docked pay.[1] The cores were also highly protected proprietary technology of Red Rocket and any employee attempting to share or retrieve information from the cores would be terminated and sued.[2]
Red Rocket cores are cylindrical devices that are identical on the exterior to the ignition cores that Hornwright Industrial uses on the Rockhound.
