Background[]
While working in the propulsion division, Rand and Janowski spent three months working to complete thrust calculations for the XMB booster engine, much to the irritation of their supervisor. In 2077, they were both drafted by the U.S. military. In the weeks leading up to her leaving for training, Rand became focused on her work at ArcJet in hopes of distracting herself from her upcoming deployment.[1]
