Knight R. Cohle (Registration CL-228K) is a member of the Brotherhood of Steel in 2287.

Background[]

He was placed in lockup after being caught consuming alcohol and chems while on duty. Despite showing signs of addiction, he was eventually released under Scribe Haylen's supervision.^[1]

R. Cohle is mentioned only in Fallout 4.

Behind the scenes[]

Cohle's name is a nod to Rust Cohle, a central character in the anthology crime series True Detective, who also suffered from issues with addiction and alcoholism. This reference was implemented by quest designer Alan Nanes.^{[Non-game 1]}
