The placard building is an unmarked location in the exterior of Nuka-World in 2287.

Layout[]

Located at the end of the road leading east from Nuka-station, it is a three-story building, with its northern section half-sunken into the earth. A washed-out, illegible placard is at the entrance. A rusted blue Atomic V-8 is parked near the building, and the north side features several other derelict and half-sunken vehicles and a stone pedestal. On the south side is a fountain, which has two skeletons on benches underneath it. A total of five fever blossom plants are scattered around the location.

The first floor has several empty shelves and display cases, as well as a desk holding a typewriter. The stairs lead up to the second floor, which has partly collapsed. Two non-interactable hospital beds are found here. The door frame in the northwest corner leads to the second floor veranda. The third floor is inaccessible, as its stairs have collapsed and wooden boxes block the path.

Notes[]

A scripted encounter may take place here, with the location occupied by either Gunners or super mutants. When the player first approaches the location, a group of five Nuka-World raiders (either generic Disciples, Operators, or the Pack) will charge towards the building, and a fight between them and the occupying faction ensues. If all enemies are killed, the surviving raiders will remain there indefinitely, unless they are killed at a later point.

Appearances[]

The placard building appears only in the Fallout 4 add-on Nuka-World.

Behind the scenes[]

Based on the location's editor ID (DLC04POIBB08), the building was created by level designer Bryan Brigner.
