Perk coins are a form of currency in Fallout 76, introduced in the One Wasteland For All update.
Characteristics[]
Perk coins are circular, golden chips with a large "P" placed in the center of the coin's face. They are used to rank up and swap legendary perks. Two perk coins are received for scrapping each rank of a perk card. Higher-ranked cards will yield a number of coins corresponding to the card's rank. Removing an equipped legendary perk will cost 1 perk coin. Levelling up a perk card costs 50 coins to advance to rank 2, 100 coins to rank 3 and 150 coins to rank 4.
The current number of perk coins assigned to a character can be viewed in the perk menu, or within the Collections tab of the Pipboy's STATS section.
If the maximum of 5,000 perk coins is reached, the player will be unable to scrap any additional perk cards until the coins are spent. If the player no longer has any legendary perks that need to be ranked up, the only way to remove excess coins is to un-equip and re-equip legendary perks.
