After reading an interview by the Mistress of Mystery's voice actress Shannon Rivers in the June 2077 edition of Acting Age, Smith wrote to Rivers, insisting "on behalf of modern women everywhere" that Rivers join a petition to have the Mistress' name changed to the "Sister of Secrets" instead based on their belief that the term "Mistress" was unnecessarily sexualized.[1]
