Paulie Keith

Paulie Keith was a member of the Sons of Dane and a resident of their compound.

Background[]

Paulie was an original member of the Sons and helped set up their compound after discovering an abandoned homestead along Interstate 63.^[1] His terminal records some of the Sons' history before and after the Great War, including the establishment of hunting parties (since "the Sons of Dane [did] not shop at the grocery store"),^[2] and the construction of Buck's Den Beer Hall.^[3]

When the Sons emerged from underground after the War, Paulie wrote a terminal entry about the realization that living in a post-nuclear world would not be easy, as food was harder to come by and fresh water had been tainted with radiation.^[4] When the Sons began being hunted by the wendigo later known as the Nightstalker, Paulie tried to warn Verne that playing music might attract the creature. However, it was too late, as the creature pulled Verne through a window, never to be seen again.^[5]

Paulie was one of the few surviving members present when the Sons of Dane automated alert was set up.^[6] Although his fate is never explicitly mentioned, Paulie likely died with the rest of the Sons when the Nightstalker finally finished them off.^[7]
