New Year is a holiday in the United States, celebrated both before and after the Great War.

The holiday celebrates the transition from the end of the current year, on December 31, a day known as New Year's Eve, to the New Year, celebrated on January 1, or New Year's Day. New Year's celebrations occurred in 2077, with events such as bingo nights planned for New Year's 2078.[1][2][3]
After the Great War, the holiday continued, with The Whitespring Resort residents being able to celebrate New Year's 2079 at a New Year's Gala.[4][5] In addition, those who wore a Pip-Boy 2000 were greeted with a New Years reminder every January 1.[6]
