Motorcycle football was a pre-War contact sport based on American football, except players participated on high-powered motorcycles, rather than on foot. However, [goals] still had to be scored by kicking the football through the goal, rather than other means.[Non-game 1][Non-game 2]
The leather armor designed for the players required only simple construction techniques, and gained a second life as personal protection after the Great War.[Non-game 1]
