The Mediterranean Sea is a large body of water separating Europe and Africa.
Background[]
In February of 1894, Lorenzo Cabot sailed through the western Mediterranean aboard SS Wakeful, on his way to excavate the lost city of Ubar.[1]
Appearances[]
The Mediterranean Sea is mentioned only in Fallout 4.
Behind the scenes[]
- The Mediterranean Sea is a real-life body of water.
- The world map in federal surveillance center K-21B and on the globes in Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 show several bodies of water, including the Mediterranean Sea, depicted as the same color as landmasses. It is possible that the map used in-game is a modified version of one from Wikimedia Commons, representing the real world circa 2004 and a mistake occurred while using the fill tool in a photo-editing program, causing the aforementioned filled-in bodies of water.[2] The world map at the Whitespring bunker in Fallout 76 does not feature this fill-in.
