Martha was the sister of Anne.
Background[]
After Anne offered to let Martha move in with her, Martha initially declined, worried about becoming a burden on Louis, Anne and their family. However, she decided to take her up on the offer after the town of Monongah went bankrupt. Martha told her sister that she wanted to get Timmy away from the dying town, harshly criticizing Hornwright Industrial for their exploitation of Monongah. They decided to wait until Timmy could celebrate Halloween, planning to move shortly thereafter.[1]
