Background[]
Several members of the Blue Ridge Caravan Company were sent south to re-establish trade routes in the Shenandoah region and set up camp at Naked Creek. The caravanners were under the direction of Marley, who was left to run operations while Joanna promised to be in touch soon. The scouts generally thought Marley was "all right," though at least one employee thought she seemed "pretty cold."[1]
