Marianne Ling was an engineer working at the Arktos Pharma biome lab before the Great War.
Background[]
Marianne was concerned about lab technicians working with equipment that was unfit for use, and requested an extended deadline for the centrifuge that was being developed.[1] The deadline was not extended, getting just one month instead of four to finish stabilizing the lab systems, leading to several technicians being electrocuted.[2]
Her team later received complaints about Quercus, a Mister Handy programmed to deal with animals. However, they did not have enough time to make Quercus able to interact with humans.[3] When rumors spread about an automated research system from the Vault-Tec Corporation being implemented, Marianne dreaded learning the ins and outs of a new system.[4]
