Lavonne was a woman involved in U.S. military intelligence, and a friend of a veteran U.S. Army officer-turned-foreman in 2077.
Background[]
Just before the War, Lavonne called the foreman. This was strange for a few reasons; the first was that the last time they spoke, it was at a military briefing in Portland. The second was the call's subject: her nephew's baseball team. It was some sort of code, as Lavonne was trying to warn him of the impending incoming nuclear devastation. The foreman followed Lavonne's advice, sending the factory workers home, and managed to not die in the bombardment himself.[1][2]
