The last Speaker of the United States House of Representatives was the final political and parliamentary leader of the lower body of the Legislative branch of the United States government before the Great War.
Background[]
The Speaker was supposed to be alerted by the Cabinet nuclear alarm system in the event that incoming intercontinental ballistic missiles were detected. After receiving notice from the system, they would have then proceeded to The Whitespring bunker alongside other members of Congress and the presidential cabinet. However, the Speaker was removed from the alarm system for an unknown reason, and thus never made it to safety.[1] Two Enclave soldiers the day after the war lament that they never arrived, along with the two-dozen other members that were supposed to have made it to the Whitespring.[2]
