In 1950, Snyder, by way of the Treasury Department, presented a replica Liberty Bell to the state of West Virginia.[1] It was put on display across the state between May 15 – July 4, 1950, for the United States Savings Bonds Independence Drive, and subsequently placed in front of the Charleston Capitol Building.
