Background[]
A town in the country of Mexico, Hidalgo was home to many families including the Tejada family living at Hidalgo Ranch. The fuel company Petró-Chico, a subsidiary of Poseidon Energy in America[1] operated multiple locations in Mexico, including ones in Veracruz, Puebla, and Hidalgo.[2]

The fictional Hidalgo is based on the real-world state of the same name, located on the eastern coast of Mexico.

I decided my guns hadn't gotten me anything, and it was time to give it up. I took off that old vaquero outfit, and put on a Petro-Chico jumpsuit. The name tag said 'Miguel,' so I started using the name myself. Eventually I made it to Arizona... but that's another story, boss."
